Playing Michaels Zombies on controller is a comfortable way to enjoy co-op sessions on the couch, even if PC players hold most speedrun records. Roblox passes Xbox-style gamepad input to Michael’s Zombies with a layout similar to Call of Duty Zombies on console. Roblox may remap slightly depending on your device profile. PlayStation players should read Cross as A, Circle as B, Square as X, and Triangle as Y.

Interact on controller

The interact action — F on PC — is the backbone of zombies mode. On controller, X (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation) confirms interactions with:

• Door purchases on The Giant and One Window
• Perk machines including Juggernog and Speed Cola
• Mystery Box spins and weapon pickups
• Pack-a-Punch upgrades costing 4,500 points
• Easter egg objectives like the Halloween Rune and Key collectibles

Because X also reloads on some Roblox titles, verify your in-game prompt before mashing buttons during timed quest steps on Lighthouse.

Combat on gamepad

RT fires your equipped weapon. Automatic weapons from the weapons tier list — like the Saiga-12 — feel natural on trigger. LT aims down sights; use it for the PTRS-41 and Kar98k where precision headshots save ammo.

RB throws grenades. Group zombies before firing explosive weapons or Wonder Guns like the Wunderwaffe DG-2. B performs knife melee — critical on early rounds when conserving ammo for later high-round survival pushes.

Movement and positioning

Left stick moves your character. L3 (stick click) sprints — hold it when running from spawn to the first perk on Hallows Eve. B toggles crouch for headshot alignment through tight windows.

Training — circling zombies in a tight loop — is harder on stick than mouse. Practice on The Giant courtyard before attempting round 30 on Undead Nocturn. Lower look sensitivity in Roblox settings if you overshoot turns.

Menus and social features

The Menu button opens Roblox overlay and in-game pause options overlapping with P on PC. The View button may show session info depending on Roblox client version.

For leaderboard stats mid-match, open the in-game panel or check Roblox’s player list. PC players press Tab directly — controller users take an extra step, so communicate round counts verbally in co-op.

Controller tips for Easter eggs

Multi-step quests punish slow interactions. Before starting the Giant Mule Kick guide, rehearse furnace X presses in a VIP private server using admin commands. The Lighthouse escape sonar sequence benefits from moderate look sensitivity — snap too far and you miss panels.

Co-op controller teams should assign roles: one player buys Quick Revive and covers revives while another opens doors and rolls box for Mule Kick weapons.

Aim assist and Roblox settings

Roblox does not provide COD-level aim assist in Michaels Zombies. Increase stick sensitivity gradually until 180-degree turns feel comfortable. Wired controllers reduce input lag compared to Bluetooth — noticeable during Definitely Origins boss waves.

When to switch to PC
