PHD Crashout (community nickname: PHD Flopper) is the headline perk of v2.1.0 Crash and Burn in Michael’s Zombies. It grants explosive damage immunity and a mid-air crouch slam that clears grouped zombies with AoE damage. Unlike Juggernog or Speed Cola, PHD uses map-specific obtainment — there is no guaranteed machine in every spawn room. What PHD Crashout does
Two effects define the perk:
- Explosive immunity — Grenades, Raygun splash, and your own slam no longer down you. Self-damage from explosives is negated.
- Mid-air slam — Jump, press crouch (C on PC, B on controller) while airborne, and crash down with an explosion at your landing point.
Slam kills award normal points — factor them into the points calculator when training on One Window or clearing doorways on One Cabin.

Slam technique and controls
- Jump from a ledge or zombie head bounce.
- While airborne, press crouch — do not hold before leaving the ground.
- Land on the horde cluster; the AoE triggers on impact.
Practice on rounds 5–10 when zombie density is manageable. PHD slam feels similar to explosive dive mechanics in console COD Zombies. Pair slams with Double Tap and explosive ammo attachments from the Crash and Burn shop overhaul.
