Lighthouse Escape Easter Egg
Restore power, activate sonar, and escape by boat — full Lighthouse quest guide.
The Lighthouse escape is Michael’s Zombies’ primary win condition on Lighthouse — a multi-phase Easter egg ending with a boat extraction cinematic. Unlike endless survival on The Giant, Lighthouse rewards players who restore infrastructure, activate sonar, and bank 60,000 points before the final escape sequence. Expect 45–75 minutes in co-op for a first clear.
Phase 1 — Restore power
Spawn on the dock and open doors toward the lighthouse basement. Flip the main power switch — lights activate across the map and perk machines come online. Until power is on, the sonar room and upper lighthouse decks remain locked.
Buy Juggernog and Speed Cola immediately after power. Lighthouse’s tight corridors punish low health. See Pack-a-Punch on Lighthouse for the random power-up drop needed to upgrade weapons mid-quest.
Recommended guns: Raygun or PTRS-41 from the weapons tier list. The final sonar step requires shooting a distant target — under-damage weapons fail the timing window.
Phase 2 — Open the sonar room
With power active, open the upper lighthouse doors using the spiral staircase near the main hall. Interact with the sonar console — it displays three frequency sliders. Tune each slider until the waveform flatlines (green indicator). Audio cues help: static fades when a slider is correct.
Co-op tip: assign one player to hold zombies in the courtyard while another tunes frequencies. Use training loops on the dock fence line.
Phase 3 — Activate the sonar disc
After calibration, the console ejects a sonar disc onto the radar table. Pick it up and carry it to the ** courtyard antenna** without taking damage — getting hit drops the disc and forces a retriever run.
Mount the disc on the antenna pole; a naval marker appears offshore. This step spawns a short special zombie wave — conserve grenades unless you have PHD Crashout from a prior perk run.
Phase 4 — Bank 60,000 points
The escape vendor near the dock requires 60,000 collective points (shared pool in co-op). Farm rounds on the dock spawn point where zombies line up for headshots. Avoid unnecessary box spins — wall ammo for your PaP primary is cheaper.
Use the points calculator to estimate how many rounds you need from your current bank. Most groups hit the threshold between rounds 22 and 28 depending on headshot accuracy.
Phase 5 — Boat escape
When points are deposited, interact with the escape boat at the far dock. A countdown starts — all living players must board before the timer expires. The boat triggers the ending cutscene and marks the Easter egg complete for the lobby.
Solo players should use Quick Revive and play cautiously during the countdown; downing off the dock fails the ending.
Post-escape and repeat runs
Completing the escape ends the match — there is no endless mode afterward on that lobby. Requeue to farm high rounds separately or practice individual phases on VIP servers with console IDs. Many groups learn the sonar tuning offline, then run a single push from round 1 for achievement credit.
Second runs are faster because you already know frequency slider order and dock spawn timing. Bring Mule Kick or the Giant Easter egg reward so one player carries Raygun, PTRS, and a box support weapon without constant rebuys.
Common failure points
- Dropping the sonar disc — assign the most stable pathing player as carrier; others clear the courtyard completely before handoff.
- Insufficient points at the vendor — track the shared pool in co-op; one player hoarding 30,000 points stalls the team at round 28.
- Under-leveled weapons — PaP before round 20; the antenna shoot phase has a tight DPS check.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How many points do I need to escape Lighthouse?
60,000 points deposited at the dock escape vendor. Co-op shares one pool.
What weapon do I need for sonar?
High-damage ranged weapons — Raygun or Pack-a-Punched PTRS-41. You must shoot the activated disc on the antenna.
Can I solo the Lighthouse escape?
Yes, but it is long. Quick Revive and PaP Raygun are strongly recommended.
Does completing the escape end the match?
Yes. The boat cutscene completes the Easter egg and ends the session for the lobby.
